Not sure if I'm posting this to the correct location, but I need advice on a problem...

(Well normally, this would be a discussion of a particular wiki page, but as this is the discussion tab of the Main Page, I guess it *could* be used for general discussion ...)

laptop: HP Pavilion dv6707us

wifi: Atheros ar5007eg which lspci reports as an ar5006eg, but which is confirmed to be an ar5007eg.

problem: madwifi hasn't caught up to this revision of the Atheros chip, and reports indicate that using ndiswrapper for this chip has mixed results.

So, either there is a guide out there I haven't already found to get this to work, or I need a recommendation for a usb wifi nic that works out of the box on Fedora 8.

I've been reveiwing usb wifi(802.11g) nics for a while, and I'm not seeing any definite yes's.

Was starting up a meeting of my own when..

Hi I was thinking of starting up a meeting of my own, then I found your group. I also interested in talking about Android & 2600 related stuff. I was apart of the Linux user group in Augusta and found google groups made it easy to manage presentations and other things we wanted to share. I already created a google group for all these topics at http://groups.google.com/group/biloxi-linux-android-2600-group . I look forward to the next meeting and hopefully get some more interested in other topics.
